BUCKS BEACH BUNGALOW:is cozy and freshly remodeled. It sleeps 4 adults (2 couples) and 2 kids. This 1920s garden-style Bungalow is just 7-doors from the first of several nearby beaches. Small views of ocean from front deck where you can watch the sailboat float by.
It's full of laid-back luxury, like fluffy bathrobes to wear to the hot tub, and it features a Queen Murphy bed with a temperpetic mattress in the bedroom alcove, a Queen Innerspring futon in the Living Room alcove, and 2-adult-sized padded twin-size cots available to set up in front of the fireplace (or you can use the aero beds) for a maximum of 4 adults (2 couples) and 2 kids. This is an open-architecture style home, so the cook in the kitchen can talk with those in the other areas. Each sleeping alcove has a blue-velvet curtain to close the area off for privacy. There is only one door, and it's on the first bathroom. The second bathroom is 10 steps out the back door and features a unique round shower.
There are 2-private off-street parking spaces which are accessed from the back alley and one on-street parking space in front of the Bungalow. This quiet street does not require parking permits. There are also 15 restaurants within a short walking or biking distance.
Use our 6+ bikes to ride 10-minutes to the Southeast, to the Village of Capitola with its large Beach, complete with volleyball courts, seaside restaurants, and fun shops. About 20-min bike ride to the Northwest is the world-famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk with the West Coast's longest remaining wooden roller coaster and FREE world-class entertainers on Friday nights during the summer.
This Bungalow is very Pets Friendly with a 6-high fenced in-backyard and an outdoor shower for after-beach sessions. For surfing enthusiasts, Bucks Beach Bungalow is in the Pleasure Point area, which is a short walk some of the worlds premier surf breaks (including Pleasure Point and The Hook.) There are an assortment of surfboards, boogie boards and some wetsuits in the blue vinyl containers under the stairs to the separate storage & owner workshop building in back, for your enjoyment. The bungalow is Semi-Handicapped accessible and for more info about that, please reply back for details. The vine-covered Owner's storage/computer room building at the back of the yard that is occasionally accessed from the alley, but no one will be in your yard and you have complete privacy. Charming set of 8 new cabins that can sleep from 4-6 each. Great for family groups so everyone can have their own space but be near to others for potlucks and excursions. Cabins can be rented by themselves or up to 8 units together. Some have decks.
The Living Room has an Entertainment Center with TV and VSH and DVD players. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove & oven, microwave, double sink, refrigerator etc. The full bath has a shower/tub, and the Queen bedroom is located in the back. There is a short stairway up to the loft which is great for short people and has either two twins or a queen bed.
These cabins are near the Y at Hwy 50 and there is a regular bus route that goes to Heavenly or the parks around the Lake or State line with its great Gondola that goes directly to the Heavenly Ski area. They are about a 12-minute drive to Heavenly or a 45-min drive to the Kirkwood Ski area. There is an almost on-site manager, who will be happy to give you FREE local information about the area.
